The Partnership
Decade of Discovery: A Minnesota Partnership to Conquer Diabetes is led by the Minnesota Partnership for Biotechnology and Medical Genomics.
In 2003, Minnesota brought together its two industry-leading medical and research institutions to create a tremendous home-grown asset. Funded by the State of Minnesota, the formal collaboration between Mayo Clinic and the University of Minnesota has become a globally-recognized model of innovation in the biomedical field.
Mayo and University researchers working independently and collaboratively continue to advance discoveries in a variety of disease areas, illnesses and bioscience areas. By advancing the Decade of Discovery, the Partnership will focus additional resources toward the disease area that offers the greatest potential of success within the Partnership and the state.
